Non-punitive near miss reporting, regarded as a fundamental safety practice in other high-risk industries, involves the identification and voluntary reporting of near miss incidents so safety risks can be identified and addressed by an organization before an injury or death occurs. If your agency is interested in implementing this practice, please provide an authorized representative’s name and email address in the form below. Upon submission, the LEO Near Miss staff will contact the designated representative and discuss the process for implementation. Virtual training and technical assistance is provided at no cost by the National Police Foundation.
