Armed EDP Subject High on Drugs in Apartment

The call was initially dispatched as a Burglary In Progress. The resident of an apartment called 911 reporting that several males had broken into his apartment. The caller sounded emotionally disturbed (like an EDP) to the call-taker, and no one else could be heard in the background.

Suspicious Person Shoots at Deputy during Field Interview

At approximately 2245, a sheriff’s deputy was on patrol in a rural section of the county when she noticed a car pulled to the side of the road with a single occupant in the driver’s seat. With a recent influx of stolen cars and alarm calls in the area, the deputy wanted to check on the driver to make sure the driver wasn’t a wanted individual or a stranded motorist needing help.

The Case of the Diaper Guns

While on midnight shift patrol with my regular partner, I conducted a traffic stop in an urban area on a vehicle driving w/out headlights at night. As soon as I walked up to the vehicle, I noticed about 1/2 an ounce of marijuana in plain view on the dashboard, which was seized.

At 0445, one of my patrol officers was on patrol in a supermarket parking lot and noticed a vehicle backed up near one of the doors with a subject inside the vehicle screaming and acting very agitated. The officer called it into dispatch, and I responded to the call.

Drunk Subject Pulls Revolver in Back Seat of Squad Car

Transit police officers responded to a call for a male subject reportedly harassing a woman at a downtown bus stop. Officers contacted the subject and noted he was obviously drunk. The officers conducted a pat-down of the subject and found an open bottle of liquor on his person.

Suspect Hides and Shoots at Officers Responding to Assault

I was dispatched for a suspect reportedly assaulting his neighbor in the driveway of a vacant house. This suspect was known by the department due to many past alcohol and domestic violence related incidents. I had personally arrested this suspect twice on prior cases.

Missing Information Leads to Identifying Wrong Person as Threat

I was out on patrol with my K-9 partner when I was dispatched to a burglary in progress. The dispatcher noted that the reporting party was the next-door neighbor who was watching the house. Upon arrival, I entered the house with my K-9 through the front door that was ajar.
